Jill Tucker, RN, BSN
An owner-operated private nursing service for patients in New York City, Jill Tucker Nursing Services provides registered nurses and healthcare professionals for care in the home, hospital or hotel. Nursing services can be arranged for New York City and the New York/New Jersey metropolitan region, including Westchester County and Connecticut. Care can be scheduled for single visits or extended coverage.
After receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing at DePaul University, Jill began her career in New York City as an Operating Room Nurse with The Hospital for Special Surgery before transitioning to a role as an Occupational Health Nurse, working as an on-site nurse for Fortune 500 corporations.
Serving as a Private Duty Nurse in the doctor’s offices and health care facilities on the East Side of Manhattan, Jill gained valuable insight into the special needs of her patients — both in pre-surgery preparation and consultation, and in post-surgical care and recovery. Using knowledge accumulated from hands-on experience caring for hundreds of patients, and networking with some of the city’s top nursing talent, Jill has carefully assembled a select team of elite nurse professionals. Areas of specialization include pre- and post-operative surgery care, orthopedic surgery recovery, home care for senior family members, IVF injection administration, wound care, hospital pickups, medical escorts and nurse staffing for clinical tests. Jill works closely and personally with each patient and family, overseeing the entirety of the nursing care.

Last week I realized I needed some assistance after a surgery and everyone I knew wouldn’t be in town. After frantic Google searches I figured it was for sure too late to contact Jill’s service because it was so last minute (three or four days out) but thankfully she was able to provide me a nurse! Jill was so attentive, caring, and detailed in explaining everything. She called me many times throughout the week, before the surgery and after, and answered all the (many) questions I had. I felt so at ease and in good hands after speaking with her, she has the most kindhearted demeanor and she is just so knowledgeable!
Working with Jill could not have been easier. She picked up the phone on the first ring, communicated well during the week leading up to my surgery, and had my nurse waiting to escort me home after my procedure. Based on my needs, Jill paired me with an absolutely capable and delightful nurse who stayed with me overnight and made sure I had everything I needed before she departed. Afterward, Jill checked in with me to make sure I was doing well. She not only handled logistics perfectly, but she also provided precisely the right amount of warmth to put me at ease. Should the need arise again, I would not hesitate to call Jill.
Jill is a very good communicator and so easy to talk to. She was very accommodating to our needs. She put us at ease during a very emotional time for us. The nurse she put us in touch with was professional, on time and kind.
I feel so grateful to have found Jill and her service. It was very comforting talking with Jill as she understands all aspects of care and expertly manages the planning, is very thorough, accommodating, has lots of experience and she gives a very high level of attention to her clients. Jill gives you a very good idea of what to expect and how things work (e.g. pre-op and post-op) and I feel that I can trust her judgment and planning. Jill is fantastic! I needed a nurse last minute to escort me home from surgery and provide care afterwards and she came to the rescue. She took extra care to match me with a nurse that I would get along with and she was great. I’m so grateful that Jill arranged everything perfectly for me with such short notice. As a first time plastic surgery patient she gave me the guidance I needed and answered all of my post-surgery questions. Jill’s services made my recovery a breeze and she is such a pleasant and caring person!
My partner underwent intensive cervical spine surgery, and we needed post-op help at home. No matter how prepared you believe yourself to be, a home care nurse can respond to both the expected and unexpected challenges you face after surgery – from evaluating all of our needs (even ones we didn’t know existed) and proposing a perfect home nursing schedule. Jill Tucker Nursing Services was, simply put, a lifesaver for us.
My mother-in-law is home bound and can no longer go to her primary care physician to receive shots. It is extremely difficult to find someone to do this service on the east end. Jill was able to arrange for one of her nurses to go to the house and give my mother-in-law her injection. The nurse could not have been nicer and the injection was painless.
I wanted to thank you on behalf of my whole family for sending this nurse in particular, who made a tremendous difference during such a trying time, to care for my father. As just one of numerous examples, she encouraged me Tuesday afternoon to come to New York as soon as possible, because she could tell my Dad’s condition had gotten critical. That allowed me to spend a final 90 minutes with him, for which I am so grateful.
I used Jill Tucker nursing services for an intramuscular injection. Jill was very prompt in responding to my inquiry. She provided clear and reassuring information about her business and the way she selects nurses, which put me quickly at ease. The nurse came on time, was very gentle and explained in detail what she was doing. She skillfully administered the injection and I did not feel discomfort. Jill followed up to ensure that all went well.
I had a fantastic experience using Jill’s nurse service! I am undergoing IVF and needed a reliable escort for my egg retrieval, but didn’t want to inconvenience friends/family. I was a bit overwhelmed by the IVF process and very nervous about working out all of the logistics but I reached out to Jill and she immediately put me at ease. From the day I contacted her up through post-procedure she checked in multiple times and the nurse she assigned to me was fantastic.
